When I was small, five or six, I remember my father was interested in photography; he had a black camera box. All I remember visually
of it is an old Canon SLR camera and a flash. I had a bad reputation impairing things so I was not alloweded to get close to them,
hence I checked it when no one was around.
I always wanted to be able to use it.
Later on, the camera had a problem in the mirror - as I remember - and my father found himself more interested
in a simple automatic Olympus camera instead of renewing his SLR. The last thing I remember is that a thief stole all the stuff and from then he didn't
take any photos again, - if I don't consider the photos he takes from his samples in his lab...
I was quite small when I had some money to buy a cheap camera; it was worth nothing after a month,
I had disassembled it… This was not my last try on the automatic junks anyway.
It was about 1994 or 1995 when I first took pictures with an SLR, again it was belonging to my father and I almost stole it. ;)
It was a Yashika 107?. Well, I didn’t have any information how to work with an SLR; it was quite disappointing when after I went to get the photos, instead of 30
I received 10.
Anyway, trying a lot, I started to figure out what’s what… Finally, on a trip sand entered the camera and after I disassembled it became totally unusable.
For some years, I used to borrow my friends digital cameras (thanks to Mr. Navid Esfahani) when I went to trips because I had the passion of taking photos.
Finally, I met this gentleman Mr. Misagh Behnami in the university. Fortunately or unfortunately, we had a lot of mutual interests: trips, roads, driving,
disassembling things, smoking, photography, car mechanics… He had an old Canon SLR; we had years of trips, adventures and photography together.
We spend a lot of time waiting, checking, reviewing… for the day when the budget lets us buy our first digital SLR camera and some lenses, - and it happened
some years ago.
The purpose of this website is sharing my feelings and moments buried in my pictures with others. In the past years,
friends and trips have been the most important thing in my
life and here is what remains.
I believe everyone can have a camera and take thousands of photos but what makes the difference is having an idea behind the photo and bringing the
feelings and the moment inside the picture while I believe postprocessing has a great role in this matter. I see a lot of people who do this well, I call it art.
Notes on this website : For seeing everything as I wish, the standards here are:
• At least a Screen resolution of 1024x768 and 32bit color quality.
• The picture quality is degraded to be fast for the low speed internet connections, but still bigger in size than usually other photos found in similar sites.
• Some friends complain that "...the pictures are sometimes dull or dark change your monitor...", it's not my fault that my monitor is bright and of a descent !
I use mid range brightness on the monitor when I process the pictures and I make them a little brighter than my real desire, so it's really your cheap monitors problem
not mine ;) why don't you buy a good display.
• The frequent phrase "where is it", used as a link in this website gives a geographical location hint using Google maps.
